Skilled Nursing involves a wide range of basic and complex nursing services that are provided in the client’s home.

Our Nurses are trained and experienced in:

  • Pain, Medication Management & Chronic illness
  • Care for pain in the back, hips & joints
  • Diabetic teaching & care management including insulin dosage, foot care, proper nutrition
  • Wound Care Dressing
  • Catheter Care
  • Colostomy Care
  • Teach effective coping skills related to illness
  • Teaching safe methods of bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, walking and bed mobility

Physical Therapy

Recovering at home is possible for those who have been recently injured or had surgery. At Caring Nurses, we can assign a physical therapist to visit you in your home to address functional mobility issues impacted by the patient’s health conditions.

Physical therapists will provide guidance and customized treatment such as:

  • Gait Training (walking)
  • Therapeutic Exercises to improve muscle weakness, balance & coordination
  • Range-of-Motion Exercises
  • Fall Risk Management

Occupational Therapy

Are you still getting used to your new living environment? Do you face challenges with getting around your home after an injury? Have you recently received diagnosis with a chronic illness? Structured training and guidance from our occupational therapists may just be what you need. Caring Nurses offers occupational therapy services in a home setting:

  • Teaching compensatory techniques to improve Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including feeding / eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting transfers, toileting hygiene, kitchen management and proper body mechanics
  • Low / Impaired Vision & Hearing Therapy designed to restore Sensory-Integrative Function
  • Memory Retention Activities to restore short term memory
  • Functional Reach & Dexterity in cases of arthritic and joint pain

Speech Language Therapy

Treating developmental disabilities and speech disorders are areas for specialty of our Speech and Language Pathologists at Caring Nurses.

They provide personalized treatment for clients who are struggling with speech disorders, fluency and swallowing difficulties.

Speech and Language Therapy may include counseling and assistance in areas such as:

  • Problems with retrieving words
  • Thought organization and problems with sequencing information
  • Attention span deficits
  • Swallowing

Medical Social Worker Services

Caring Nurses help clients and their family members cope with the many difficulties they face as a result of a disability, illness or injury.

Having health issues not only affects the patient, the whole household can be in crisis, too. This is why our social workers provide all those impacted with the guidance and support they need during this critical time.

  • Home-maker assistance

Certified Nursing Assistance

Get help from our home health aides! We can assist you in keeping yourself healthy at home and pursuing activities of daily living. During your advancing years or when you may be nursing an injury, Caring Nurses can provide professionals who can attend to your needs for:

  • Assistance with all personal hygiene
  • Assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing
