Caring Nurses started out as a family run business in 1994 lead by Elsie Turfley and Roger Corbin. Since 2000, Caring Nurses has been employee owned. It is our purpose to improve the health of everyone we serve, providing affectionate and effective care throughout our engagement with our clients. And, as Clark County’s leading health care provider, we’re proud to touch the lives of more individuals in our community than any other health care system.
Over the past twenty years we have provided healthcare treatment for nearly 18,000 patients with personalized plans of care that optimize health outcomes. Our Leadership Team
Elsie Turfley, RN
Elsie has been a registered nurse since 1974 receiving her degree in nursing from MV Gallego College of Nursing in the Philippines.
After 20 years of experience in nursing, including being the Director of Nurses for a nursing home, Elsie and Roger opened Caring Nurses, Inc. in 1994.
A graduate from University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Roger came to the US from Trinidad in 1976 on a track and field scholarship and earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Roger worked for the Las Vegas Review Journal for 13 years prior to founding Caring Nurses, Inc. With his experience and leadership, he continues to lead the Caring Nurses team.
