What are Parts B and E in the program?

The EEOICPA program has two major elements: Part B and Part E. The conditions included under Part B are beryllium sensitivity, chronic beryllium disease, chronic silicosis, and radiogenic cancers.

Under Part E, coverage covers various respiratory illnesses or conditions such as COPD, Asthma, Sarcoidosis, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Pneumoconiosis, Pleural Plaques, Pleural Effusion, Mesothelioma, Pleurisy, and Asbestosis and any illness related to an occupational toxic substance exposure, including those covered under Part B.

This may include Neurological disorders that have been approved, such as Neuropathy, Parkinsonism, Toxic Encephalopathy, or chronic kidney disease. An additional illness that arises because of an accepted Part B or Part E condition is compensable as a “consequential condition.”
